Amsterdam Day 3

I started the day at Moak a hip hop themed cafe.

To drink I had a mimosa-with pineapple juice which was nice.

Pineapple Mimosa

To eat I had The Pink Lady -savoury pancakes with salmon, avocado and creme fraiche.

Unfortunately this was a very bland tasting breakfast even with the saltiness of the salmon.

I will be going back to Moak the next time I’m in Amsterdam to try their sweet pancakes.

I then walked to Lomanstraat to visit the famous ‘X’ trees. The trees along the street lean towards each other forming the x’s down the street. Very unusual

The Street and neighbourhood was very picturesque and quiet

Then off to Vondelpark which even at the early time that I go there -just after 10-was pretty busy. I sat down for a bit to soak up some vitamin D.

I then made my way to Het Koekemannetje to buy one of their cookies.

I got a dark chocolate cookie-this was one of the best cookies that I’ve ever eaten. Lovely texture and the dark chocolate tasted so good.

Next stop Crumble Cookie not to be confused with the viral Crumbl Cookie (though you can tell that this is exactly what they are going for).

I bought the Snickers Cookie. It was like sand, 3 bites and I was done, didn’t finish it-very dry-do not recommend.

I wonder what a real Crumbl Cookie tastes like?

My final stop was Yo Yo Fresh Tea Bar -selling a wide variety of bubble tea, juices and shakes. I got a oat milk mango shake with passion fruit jelly - loved it.

See you tomorrow for my final day!
