Black Eats London
I’ve wanted to go to Black Eats London for a long time. They had a series of (paid) ticketed events this summer that I never got the chance to go to. Then it was announced that they were doing one final event for the summer at Canada Water which happened to be free (you still had to register though).
Me and the family went and it was a lovely sunny day - the weather was perfect.
Lots of food stalls selling various Caribbean and African foods, as well as craft items.
We picked up some salt fish fritters to start which were nice and spicy.
We got a couple of drinks. My sister got an oxtail mac and cheese which she said was nice but quite rich.
Toju from Love Every Bite Bakery had a stall so of course I had to pick up some cookies.
All in All a good day. One thing I would say is that a lot of the stalls were selling practically the same thing - there were a lot of jerk stalls. Not many stalls were selling fish.
The next event is in October as Hackney Bridge
