  • Travel: I went via Eurostar-you can of course fly to Amsterdam but with Eurostar you arrive straight into the centre of Amsterdam. Look out for the bargain £39 each way tickets.

  • You don’t need to bring a lot of Euros. Most places I went to only accepted card. Good to have some Euros just in case

  • Bikers rule Amsterdam! They do not stop for anyone so be super aware. Also make sure you walk on the right path - I saw so many people walking on the bicycle paths and nearly getting knocked over.

  • Transportation is good. I used the metro but there are also trams, buses and Uber. I recommend downloading the GVB app-you can also purchase tickets on the app. Amsterdam is also very easy to get around on foot-I walked a lot of steps.
